5 Tablespoons Of : Chicago : Day Five.

Saying goodbye to our beautiful Renaissance Blackstone Hotel. We didn’t really get a chance to explore as much of it as i wish, but we did go up to the “Art Hall” level and enjoyed some beautiful art before checking out. I recommend this Hotel so very much. The staff is phenomenal and knowledgeable and is always willing to help. It’s a true gem in the middle of Downtown Chicago.

We found Gabes favorite store in Chicago! We have never seen a penguin storefront before. It was a real treat to go in and buy a few items for him that would remind him of our trip.

LUNCH/DINNER

– Portillo’s –

100 West Ontario St , Chicago, IL 60654

Portillo’s was simply amazing! I had a Chili Cheese Dog and Chili Cheese Fries. It was all SO good. You see those crinkle cut fries up there? Those were pretty special.

We saved our most anticipated Museum for last. We had about 3 hours left in Chicago that evening and after a whole day of attempting to to soak up as much of Chicago as we possibly could before we left to the airport, we finally made it to the Art Institute of Chicago. The Art Institute of Chicago is a world class Art museum with only the best Art. It is upon the best Art Museums I have ever visited for sure. Gabe and I were only able to visit two of the Art wings since we were very limited on time, but we have vowed to come back and give the Museum a whole day as it so rightfully deserves. Chicago was an amazing time, and although four days felt as not enough, we made the best out of our mini vacation. We are looking forward to another trip soon!
